Cheltenham June 2008: Kraft Foods has announced that Nick Bunker, formerly head of Kraft’s European customer services and logistics operation, has moved to the UK to head up the firm’s UK and Ireland team.
Nick will lead teams driving well-known food brands such as Kenco, Oreo, Ritz, Toblerone, Terry’s Chocolate Orange, Dairylea and Philadelphia.
The move comes at an exciting point for Kraft, with the recent launch in the UK of the iconic American biscuit brand, Oreo, the high profile sponsorship for Toblerone of the hit comedy, Pushing Daisies and the extension of Kenco’s relationship with the Rainforest Alliance to see 75% of beans for the brand’s entire freeze-dried coffee range sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms.
Says Nick “Everyone at Kraft is passionate about our fantastic brands – and that’s certainly true of the team here in the UK. I’m really looking forward to working with a group of such committed and talented colleagues on the exciting projects ahead.”
After stints working for Mars and Terry’s of York, Nick moved to the Middle East with Inchcape before rejoining Kraft as head of its Middle East operation and then its Czech and Slovak businesses. Nick’s most recent role was as Vice President of Customer Services and Logistics for Kraft Europe, based in Zurich.
The new role sees Nick, who is married with two children, based at Kraft’s UK and Ireland head office in Cheltenham and marks a personal homecoming as he originally grew up in Gloucestershire.
